Training
You must go through the Mercer County Police Academy to offically become a deputy within the department.

After training, all recruits are placed on a probationary period, MCPA will work with Command to discuss your performance.

In my opinion I believe MCSO is an amazing department, we offer a lot of opportunities for people, whether they wanna work in IA, EA or MCPA theirs always a spot for them. We also have a lot of room for advancement within the department we have 3 positions on every level, Deputies, Supervisory, Command and Administration. We offer a friendly environment with people who are always willing to help! We’re also a very active department with daily deployments!
